Esta semana fue una poca lenta, por cause de la bicis

So good new is that our car is in the shop since Tuesday, the bad news is that we are on bikes all day every day. So the time we used to spend knocking doors or just talking to people is now spent riding bikes to the places we need to go.

There is an upside to riding bikes, I feel like such a better missionary because I am actually dead tired when we get home because I biked everywhere. I was feeling a little bit lazy before just cuz we had the car to go everywhere we needed.

This week we had a good lesson with the man Luis who came to church last Sunday. He is super open and willing to learn, but the sad thing is he is going to be going back to Honduras this week for a extended period of time and doesnt know when he will be back, so hopefully we can get him in contact with the missionaries down there.

Celso came to church again this Sunday! He has still been working in Ohio but  comes back on the weekends to come back to church :) I really think he is going to be baptized on the date we set with him.

We did a lot of service this week. We helped one of our memebers dig holes so they could put in a pond and then clean up sticks in their yard, and then we had a HUGE bonfire with the sticks. Like 20 feet tall. It was so hot!!
We also have been helping this man named Uncle Buck because he is disabled and can't do a whole lot. Then he feeds us really good food :)

We went tracting on Friday for litterally like 5 hours. It was super long! But we ran into a cool guy named Danny and another lady named Laura, hopefully we can meet with them again and get them progressing.

Yesterday we had a brodcast from Salt Lake for church and Elder Anderson and Hales spoke to us. Super good conference. The line that i liked the most was:
"Sharing the Gospel means being more open about who we really are."
I like that a  lot because it shows that the gospel is soemthing that is supposed to be integral in all of us, not something that we say we are but then dont actually internalize it.

Pic had a pinata making party on Saturday. One member said my pinata looked like the thing that Miley Cyrus swings on. I think it looks like a grape.

Que paso con la primevera?

This week has been actually pretty good!!

So we were tracting at the beginning of the week and nothing was happening. We were like, "No one answers this early in the day" and then the next door we knocked was this guy named Luis who is actually super solid! He let us right in and we had a really good talk about Joseph Smith. Then he came to church on Sunday and asked the Elders Quorum President, "So I’m already a member of your church, but how do I become 'a Mormon'?" Ha ha super awesome!!

We are also teaching Wendy. She has been thinking really hard about what it would mean for her if she switched from the Catholic church. We haven’t even set a baptismal date or really talked about it, but she has been seriously contemplating it. I think she will be baptized!

So we were looking though some of the formers we had an there was a lady named Olga who was really interested a couple years ago. We set up an appointment with her and she is still super interested, the only thing is her husband doesn’t want to get married, and sometimes she doesn’t either cuz he’s a big drinker. But at the end she said the closing prayer and said, "Father please help me to be baptized, cuz you know that is my desire." WOW awesome!!!

So Celso turned up at church this week! Super awesome! Then we met later that day and he set his own baptism date for the 16 of May!! He wanted to do it before Elder Wolverton leaves! Super awesome!!!!!

So this week was pretty good :)

No tengo nada que quiero decir en español. jaja

So this week was good, I guess. Not bad but not like GREAT. But still good.

Some exciting news, we got in a car crash! But no one was hurt thankfully. Ok here’s what happened I was pulling out of a parking lot and there was this big stalker van behind me and they honked, so I got rushed and glanced to the left and to the right and didn’t see anyone so I pulled out. But there was a grey car that must’ve blended in with the road and I pulled out in front of her. It’s a good thing I floored it or she would have hit me right in the drivers side door, but luckily she hit the back door instead. So that’s fun. And then one of the missionaries in our zone decided to roll down the window, and then it won’t roll back up. So now we look awesome with a bag taped on our window :)

So we got a really pretty solid investigator, well we met her a couple weeks ago, but now she is solid this week. Her name is Wendy and she has awesome questions. We taught her the restoration and when we asked her what she thinks it would mean if what Joseph Smith saw was real, she said "well pretty much everything I have been taught my whole life is wrong" bahaha!

We were able to teach Celso again this week. He had to move into a different house because he didn’t have a job and got kicked out of the old one. The house is owned by one of our members. But he still doesn’t have a job so he is just working odd jobs all the time and can’t come to church and it is hard for him to meet with us. He was supposed to be baptized on Saturday, but that didn’t happen. But he still has really good desires to be baptized and everything, just got to get him to come to church!

So we put a lady on a baptismal date this week for May 16 (the Saturday before E. Wolverton leaves). Her name is Estela. We have been kinda teaching her, but it has been sporadic. She actually came to church this Sunday too!

So there is this less-active family that we have been stopping by and two weeks ago they said they would come to church, and they came to church yesterday! Super cool!

So this picture is of me, and a member named Melanie. We were eating at their house and the mom told me I talked a lot, so I put tape on my mouth and took a selfie :)

Love you all

Feliz Pascua. Un dia tarde :)

Please excuse any typing errors, this keyboard doesn’t like to register my typing.

Happy late Easter everyone!!!

What did you guys think of General Conference?! I thought it was pretty good! Seems like they are focusing more and more on the family! I was a little sad however that we didn’t hear more from our Prophet. I worry about him and his health.

This week has seemed a little slow. It was still a good week though.

We had a really good lesson with Martha again about temples. Something super cool is that her daughter Ana is now interested in listening in when before she was totally against it. And this is because of the young women that fellowshiped her.

The biggest thing you can do for someone is show them that you care (even the slightest bit) about them. This will change hearts!

We also got to go and give Charles a blessing in the hospital because he had to go in and get fluid drained out of his stomach. He thought that he was going to be in there for a week, but was released the next day. The power of the priesthood is real!

We taught the Molina family again. Jesus Molina had read the first 12 chapters of the Book Of Mormon! Super cool! They are some funny people.

We weren’t able to teach Celso this week cuz he was in Ohio. and sadly I don’t think he will be  baptized this Saturday :( but he for sure will be soon!

Also I am staying in this area with Elder Wolverton for the next transfer. Which means I kill him off (missionary slang for send him home)

Not much else to report.

From Mom's letter:

So I had my first dream in Spanish this week! I was so excited when I woke up!!!

Also thinking in Spanish, not usually in my everyday thinking unless I consciously try to, but when people talk to me in Spanish I don’t have to translate unless it is a word I just barely learned.
