Pues ya nos vamos de esta area.

So Elder Ryan and I are both are being transferred. Super sad because there are some really cool things happening in this area. And now we never know where we are going.

So Wendy might be getting married. We aren’t sure exactly. But she was looking at wedding rings with her boyfriend. So that’s cool!
But sad news about her sister, Yesenia. She really wants to be baptized and her mom is ok with it, but her dad isn’t ok with it. He said a resounding "no" But she said that she would wait till she was 18 to be baptized. Hopefully her dad changes his mind though.

So Roberto kinda fell of the face of the earth the end of this week. He didn’t come to church or answer his phone nor was he there for his appointment. So pray that he shows up again.

We taught a lesson to this lady Ana yesterday. She is a cool lady we found who wasn’t super super interested, but would let us talk to her. But yesterday we started teaching her the plan of salvation. And she was super excited with it. And I love when instead of us asking investigators when we can come back, they ask when we are coming back. Shows they really enjoy what we are sharing.

So I had to give a talk in church yesterday. And I took the leap of faith and just wrote down a list of points that I could use to talk about. I was super nervous because everytime I’ve given a talk before I had the whole thing scripted out. But as I was talking I was super surprised to feel the podium move under me. I looked down at my watch and I had been talking for 15 minutes. It literally only felt like 5. People told me yesterday that my Spanish has improved a ton since I came into the area. So that makes me super happy.

I hate leaving areas, but its super interesting to see who is sad about you leaving, and its interesting to see the ones that you didn’t think liked you that much be really sad when you say you’re leaving.

Pic. Me and the Molina family. He surprised me yesterday when he said that he was sad I was leaving because he wanted me to baptize him. So I told him I would come back to do it if he still wanted.

Love you all

Yo vi a los liricenas por la primera vez

So this week had one of the coolest things ever in it, I saw fireflies for the first time!!!!!!!! They are everything I ever imagined! Except they don't light up when they are in a jar. Oh well it is so beautiful when you are on your bike going home and see all of them lighting up in the grass!!

This week has been kinda slow and tiring, the car had to go back into the shop for further repairs from the accident, so we have been on bikes since Wednesday, and so we are tired.

So I am getting nerdyer and nerdyer every comp, this week Elder Ryan got me to start playing dungeons and dragons with him in our spare time. So I'm now officially a NERD.

So this week we set a baptismal date with the Molina's for August  first. They are super excited for it! And there was a baptism of a girl in the branch this week and they came and liked it too. And they came to church too!

We taught Celso again this week, he came home from Ohio a little bit early. But he told us that he might have found a job in Indiana, so pray that it works out!!

We have been teaching Wendy and Yesenia more, and they are still pretty solid, except for they didnt come to church. Keep praying for them that the family stuff works out.

Saturday we went tracting and met the coolest black lady. We were teaching her the restoration, and she had the coolest reaction to it, "I can feel the Jesus coming in right now, keep it comin!" haha it was awesome!

Got to teach Roberto again, he is still as solid as ever.

A selfie for ya,

Also a Spanish  word of the day "agringarse" to act like a gringo haha.

June 15, 2015

Not too much to report on this week, however it was still a good week.

We helped out Uncle Buck this week again. I freaking love that man! He is so awesome!!

The Molina’s came to church again this week, for all three hours! Their son had a little bit of a panic attack cuz he has really bad social anxiety, but other than that it all went well.

Wendy got a job, so she was so tired yesterday she slept through all her alarms and slept all day.

Charles has been in the hospital for about a week and a half. He went in for a routine procedure, and then had a small stroke. I don’t really know if he will make it much longer. However he is optimistic, as always.

We had a really good restoration lesson with a woman named Ana. She is from Puerto Rico. I don’t know what it is about people from Puerto Rico, but I really like them. They are super cool.

Had a good lesson with Roberto yesterday, and he is still as awesome as ever.

No pics still, oops sorry.

June 8, 2015

Well this week has been pretty good.

So last week Wendy came to church with her sister, and her sister liked it so much that she now wants to take the lessons. So we are going to start teaching her as well. They both came to church again yesterday.

So yesterday we had stake conference, and the stake president said something interesting. He said we can bear our testimonies to God. This hit me hard for some reason because we are always supposed to share our testimonies, and that is how we grow them, but what if that day or week we didn’t have the opportunity to do so? Then we just talk to God about what we know and what we might need some help on :)

So yesterday we learned how to make tamales with Olga, and then we taught her the plan of salvation. I love teaching and eating at the same time! And tamales are so good!

Molinas came to church again this week, they seem to have turned around and are actually keeping all the commitments we give them and everything.

So on Saturday we got to help with the color run. It was super awesome!! And the cool part was the fact that color run is from Utah, so all the workers there were from Utah, and since we were missionaries helping we got some perks :)

So we have been doing mission finding every tues, thurs, and sat from 2 to 4 and it has been awesome for me because every time we go out we seem not to talk to anyone, but then when there is like 20 minutes left, we find someone who seems to be super solid!

Primer de junio

Well yesterday was a super fulfilling day at church. We had 4 investigators and two less active families at church. Church ends up kinda stressful when all your investigators come. Wendy, Roberto, Juan, and Jhoana came to church. So that was awesome.

This week we gave Wendy a church tour so that she would feel more comfortable coming to church. Then we set a baptismal date with her for the 27 of June. Then later in the week we taught her the law of chastity; which is going to be hard because her boyfriend doesn’t want to get married. So we don’t know how things are going to turn out with that. But she really liked church and all of that so I keep praying and fasting for her.

We had a good plan of salvation lesson with the Molinas. They actually kept their commitments and read a whole chapter of the Book of Mormon.

So there was this lady we tracted into 2 weeks ago named Carmen who seemed really solid. Then we stopped by again for our next lesson and started teaching her about the Book of Mormon. Then she tells us she is actually a member and wanted us to bring her a Book of Mormon. She used to be married to a member but then they got divorced and she married a nonmember. So we are going to be working with her to get her back to church.

We had a good lesson yesterday with Roberto about the plan of salvation. He loved church and it still super excited to be baptized this month :)

Other than that a lot of appointments canceled this week. But in spite of all of that, we had a good week.
