Mas lluvia? Me canso de tener tanta lluvia. Pero esta bien si recibo milagros :)

So it has rained so much this week! I can’t believe it! The pond behind our apartment has risen up like 2 feet.

This week was good, all weeks are good, so that’s good :) 

But Tuesday I had the opportunity to go with Elder Derbidge in Greencastle on exchanges. It was fun, but really different from what I’m used to, lots of people willing to talk, but not a  lot willing to listen to a message. But we had a good day. Then after we had a miracle with Patricia Meza, we were able to teach her with the Molina’s and talk about how this is what she needs in her life and what will ultimately bless her the most. 

We had an awesome miracle this week. So we were tracting in the rain, which is no fun, and we hadn’t had any success. Then we knock on a door and this plump little Hispanic man opens the door goes, "Are you Mormons?" and we go "yes" then he says "COME RIGHT IN!" It was kinda strange. So come to find out his son is living in another city with a member family, and he has been taught and wants to be baptized; just doesn’t have the support of his parents. The dad Francisco said he’d seen the sons BOM, so I asked if he wanted to know the background of the BOM. So we go into the restoration and he didn’t like it. It was kinda contentious and wasn’t good. SO then elder blood pulls out the Plan of Salvation pamphlet and starts talking about the atonement. He asked Francisco to read a part from the pamphlet, and as he was doing so, he started to cry. The spirit filled the room and it was so incredible!

After zone meeting on Friday we were trying to be more friendly and open to the people we come in contact with. We had some cool experiences where people who off the bat tell us, "I’m not interested," ended up talking to us for like 10 to 15 minutes. So being personable helps a lot!

And the best part is, WENDY IS GONNA GET BAPTIZED ON SATURDAY!!!!!!!!!!!! Im so excited. A year after I found her the first time with Elder Wolverton, I am here when she is getting baptized! 

We also had a miracle yesterday morning. We sent out a scripture with an invitation to come to church to a lot of contacts in our phone. And an investigator that Elder Blood and Schoeneman had found and lost contact with, texted us and said she wanted a ride to church. She came to the YSA and it was great! She said she had been in a dark place and when she saw our text, she knew she had to go to church. 

Then in the YSA there is a man named Johnzee from Liberia who is getting baptized on Saturday as well. He asked me to baptize him! I have no idea why he asked me, because he can never remember my name. But when someone asks him who is going to baptize him, he looks around, and if he sees me he goes, "Are you the one that is going to baptize me?" Its super funny. But he is such a solid convert. 

The Church is true, and the work is being hastened!

Wow, conference was great wasn’t it!!!!!!! I loved all of the great talks!

This week was a fun week :) 

So we were able to have a great member present with Beatriz again, and this time her friends sat in as well, and they were actually interested which was the coolest part! :)

This week I went on an exchange in Brownsburg, first exchange ever in an English area! Wow that was weird! But it was fun and I had a great time with Elder Remington, he’s a great missionary! We taught a part member family, and the husband-to-be is preparing to be baptized. As I listened to his story, I realized the blessings of making correct choices in life. Even though we can correct our course and get back on the path, it’s so much better to just stay on it, then you don’t have the consequences that follow you the rest of your life. 

For some reason this week, tracting was really hard. It seemed like the more we wanted to tract, the more things that had to be done at the moment came up. And when we did get the time to tract, all people wanted to do was talk about anything but the gospel. It was a humbling week in that aspect.

Friday we were able to meet with a recent convert and talk about what General Conference is. I love watching recent converts who are really converted to the gospel. They are just like sponges and want to learn more and more.

And then General Conference to top things off. Wow that was an amazing conference. I just can’t pick one favorite part because they all mesh into one big spiritual glob in my head! But we were able to watch it on Saturday at the house of our branch president and his family.

And on Sunday’s session, we had Wendy and Audel come and watch both sessions, and then another investigator we have named Patricia came to the last session!

I am so happy to see that president Monson spoke, and that he is doing well in his role as a prophet. The church is true and Tomas S. Monson is the prophet :)

Really good week that we had this week! 

We had a really good lesson again with the lady named Beatriz, she is progressing slowly but surely. We will be having another lesson with her today with her husband! So we are super excited for that! 

We have also had some really good lessons with Wendy, Audel, and Yesenia. We also had a fast for them all day yesterday that the struggles and roadblocks for the baptisms of Yesenia and Audel can be overcome. It’s a lot easier to fast when you have a purpose that you really want to accomplish.

I got to go on exchanges this week with Elder Ellsworth, from southern California. That was fun. He is probably the missionary who I have seen change the most in the 3 months that he has been out! I love watching growth!

Friday was a miracle. We were able to go blitz our area with Elder Baird and Elder Cruz, which was fun. But the miracle came when we go to our dinner appointment. The members just decided to invite one of their friends and her two daughters to dinner. We were able to share the restoration lesson with them. And then on Sunday the whole family, including the husband, came to church! That was super cool!

And on Saturday we were able to go to the temple with the Molina family and a less active that Elder Blood tracted into named Sara. They were able to do baptisms for the dead and man was the spirit strong! I got to baptize Jesus Molina. It was a little difficult because he’s a lot bigger than I was and he was scared to go into the water at some points, but we overcame and finished the baptisms. Talk about grace!
